From the Front Lines: Portland Frog Dances at ICE; Kristi Noem “Stares Down” Chicken Suit Guy
MAGA’s Performative Christianity Is Eclipsed Only by Their Constitutional Hypocrisy
“I hated that dog,” Kristi Noem said in her own political-ish memoir. Does someone who can kill with glib indifference have better angels?
How can you appeal to the conscience of a woman who dragged her own puppy into a gravel pit and shot it to death? She also decided to end a billy goat because it annoyed her. (The puppy was a girl named Cricket and apparently the nameless billy goat they’d had for years smelled bad and often got her children’s clothes dirty. So she tied it to a post in the same gravel pit and shot it twice.)
The climate-change denying, self-professed puppy-killer, whose failed initial kill shot meant the poor goat had to suffer until Noem located and reloaded a second shell, also blithely mentioned having to kill three of the family horses.
When Noem began auditioning on the national stage as a no-nonsense MAGA pragmatist, she hyped her farm-life rural roots as proof of an inner mettle, a hard-earned grit that naturally translates to the raw political toughness America needs to defend itself from the “woke liberal agenda”.
It backfired.
The puppy-killing didn’t just outrage bleeding-heart animal lovers. Seasoned hunters who utilize bird dogs were appalled by her callous “laziness” instead of training her own animal.
Puppygate media backlash cost Noem Trump’s 2024 VP nomination but it hasn’t stopped her from flexing her cruelty in her new role as secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. Now her primary targets are workplace raids of taxpaying, hardworking people who merely appear to be of Latino or Hispanic origin or culture, are speaking Spanish in public, or are at or near “low-wage” job sites.
The Supreme Court ruled 6 to 3 in favor of her department’s recent lawsuit to stay a California judge’s orders against racial profiling as unconstitutional. After creating chaos in LA and Chicago, DHS now has its sights set on a liberal Pacific Northwest city with therapy llamas at the airport and a world-famous bookstore, a real epicenter of domestic terrorism.
Pictured above prior to her gender-affirming cosmetic surgeries and hair extensions, Noem was filmed leading a team of federal agents in prayer on October 7, 2025. In “war-ravaged” Portland, Oregon, they bowed their heads over Burgerville takeout and water bottles.
Noem as impromptu pastor laid it on thick for the camera, but it was just another publicity stunt showcasing how MAGA dogma repeatedly violates the two documents they claim to hold most sacred: the U.S. Constitution and the Bible.
The First Amendment’s Establishment Clause “prohibits the government from establishing an official religion or favoring one religion over another”. Our founding fathers explicitly decreed the separation of church and state but a key tenet of the MAGA trajectory is to “return” this country to the “Christian nation” it never was.
A cabinet secretary should not be leading federal agents in prayer, especially during an official visit and especially not on camera with apparent intent to distribute the footage. But it’s just one of the many ways MAGA now routinely violates the constitution.

Ongoing Fourth Amendment violations happen every time an unidentified masked man abducts a student, protestor, or worker without probable cause or a judicial warrant
Violations of the Thirteenth Amendment continue with the forced labor of detainees who have not been tried or convicted of any crime
But MAGA doesn’t stop with just constitutional violations. They seem to gleefully flout the divinely inspired words of, as they say, their Lord and personal savior, Jesus Christ. Politicians performatively praying isn’t novel, but it’s just one of the many unfortunate ways they blaspheme their own holy scripture.
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven,” Matthew 6:1
“When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them,” Matthew 6:5
“For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ,” Galatians 1:10
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, et al, are propagandizing a false narrative in an attempt to justify stateside deployment of our own National Guard in blue cities that defy Trump. In violation of the Posse Comitatus Act, the MAGA administration is trying to turn soldiers into domestic police, and to then turn those soldier-police against their fellow nonviolent civilians.
Portland is not “war-ravaged”. There is no insurrection and neither the state nor city government has requested federal assistance in suppressing a non-existent rebellion.
Portlanders are not violent extremists, they are bike-riding naked hippies. They are human rights activists in inflatable frog costumes, dancers in inflatable unicorn and dinosaur costumes, and a guy in a chicken suit with an Old Glory cape that Noem observed from the ICE rooftop like a battlement. The right-wing influencer that accompanied her reported her bravely “staring down” an “army of Antifa”. His own pictures and videos show it was only about two dozen people standing around filming on their cell phones and chicken suit guy leaning against a fence.
In another dispatch from the frontlines, one man rocks out alone to a new jam, “Trump Is in the Epstein Files”, playing across the street from the facility ICE is leasing from the city on Macadam Ave.
When the agent/officer in a uniform labeled “POLICE” peppersprayed the air intake valve of the charmingly silly and peaceful Portland Frog, it was clear it’s not ICE’s safety that needs prayer protection: it’s the peaceful demonstrators.
Just as she’s trying to brand herself as McGruff the Crime Dog of “illegal aliens” Noem is trying brand a hippie city as another outpost of apocalyptic danger. The now nightly dance parties outside the ICE facility adorably disprove the MAGA proclamation that Portland is a boarded-up dystopia in flames, overrun by domestic terrorists. It’s just a bunch of good people risking their own safety to speak out against the extraordinary overreach and cruelty of this administration. And they’re using humor and whimsy to minimize any media manipulation of images and video claiming violence or aggression on the part of the demonstrators.
Portlanders who believe in the First Amendment are nonviolently exercising their constitutional right to free speech. The demonstrators are harmless everyday heroes who believe in equality and due process for all.
Human rights are universal and borderless but anti-immigration is the most violent intersection of MAGA’s white supremacy and Christian nationalism. They do not care that Christians are the largest migrant population in North America, almost 70%, because those Christians happen to be Brown.
MAGA’s Venn diagram of racist cruelty is becoming a circle. Their performative Christianity is eclipsed only by their dragnet of constitutional hypocrisy. And the only “holy war” is the one ICE is creating by violating the rule of law across our country.
And release the full and un-redacted Epstein files.
